Superhot’s out and it’s ok I guess, but who has time for games? This week I’ve begun my Street Fighter V training, and our inaugral “Can Quinns be the best?” podcast comes out next week.
I know what you’re thinking, Matt, but Street Fighter V isn’t a game. It’s a code. A mentor. A father and mother. It’s a path. I think I am going to play Chun-Li because she is classic but also has real good thighs.
Thights (that’s) the truth! Superhot is indeed out and is indeed OK. It seems to have somehow lost the straight-to-gut-wham that it had when it was just an unexpected webthing, but most people seem to be loving it so I'll provisionally chalk this one up to " ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ".
I still adore what it looks like, mind, hence the header image. To be honest I’m more enthralled with Devil Daggers, a wildly different beast that largely still revolves around repeatedly hitting the restart button.
My brother has literally just arrived as I sit and write this, so we’ve got a chilled weekend of games ahead. Imperial Assault tomorrow, and a bunch of co-op PC things we’ve not played yet squeezed in-between (on my list I’ve got Crawl, Guacamelee! and Nom Nom Galaxy, although the third of those seems divisive at best).
Thanks so much to those of you who joined us for last night’s Q&A stream, which sadly didn’t take place in a truck on account of genuine technical hell. Still, we had fun!
What have you guys got planned for the weekend?
