After a few weeks of putting off actual work in favour of XCOM XCOM XCOM, I’ve sadly not managed to play anything lately. Still, I did manage to finish XCOM 2 the other day, and it’s safe to say that it’s a bit of a doozy. That’s my official review, by the way: Doozy/10. Lock up your Doozies.
XCOM 2 chat below is fair game, just do be sensitive about spoilery things. Let us know how you get, and don't forget about KitKat Chunky.
Now that’s out of the way though, I still remain ludicrously spoilt for choice. The Witness still remains highly colourful and mostly untouched, and that might continue as Firewatch seems brilliant (although as strongly caveated in next week’s Daft Souls, we’re good with the people who make it - so please do keep that firmly in mind). Lastly, I’m mildly ashamed to say that Quinns’ video about Disgaea has me hankering to play, even though I’ve been down that long road before and know very well exactly how it will end.
It’s funny. Out of all the games I mentioned in last weekend’s roundup,The Witness won out against the nostalgia of Homeworld and the sweaty tension of Darkest Dungeon & Nuclear Throne. The Witness sits in my list of Steam games as heavy and ornate as a gauntlet, cast down from the mountain by Mr. Blow. The puzzles in it are so great that if I don’t finish it, I’ll be disappointed in myself. So it’s The Witness I’ll be returning to this weekend.
Once I’ve defeated it and buried it in my garden, I’ll probably move on to some Firewatch or XCOM 2. What an absurd couple of weeks it’s been! If 2016 keeps this pace up I’ll be dead by 2017. What have you guys got planned?
